A typical day on the job: Everyday is
different.
Positive things about being an administrative
professional in this industry: The salary is fair, the hours
are good, and most of the work is independent ( you know what needs to be
done, you don’t have someone telling what to do). You have flex time, and
it is interesting.
Negative things about being an administrative
professional in this industry: Medical language is very
different and difficult to pick up without any medical training. There is
not anyone else in your area and there is not a lot of friendships or
bonds with people. It is very technical.

Primary responsibilities as an administrative
professional in this position: Keep all the doctors
credentials and all licenses up to date, keep all doctors informed with
information (inner office and outer office) , keep the president’s
calendar and all medical cases up to date, and his correspondence,
coordinate all doctors inner office correspondence
