for me is researching for documents, formatting and uploading them to the
Association’s Extranet for committee members to access in time for the
weekly meeting.

Primary responsibilities as an administrative
professional in this position:
1) Departmental Management
Duties: Act as liaison between Vice President and other AF&PA departments,
AF&PA members, foreign association representatives, consultants, and
Washington trade community; exercise appropriate decision-making authority
on behalf of the Vice President.
2) Budget/Financial Duties: Serve as department representative to Finance
Department, process departmental invoices and expense reports, and
quarterly reports.
3) Administrative Duties: Provide administrative, logistical and
substantive support to the Vice President including, but not limited to,
drafting correspondence and memos; organizing meetings; arranging
extensive foreign travel; scheduling appointments; maintaining fax/mail
lists; routing mail; copying, faxing, filing; and answering phones.
Provide administrative support to other staff as needed.
4) Special Projects: Provide substantive issue management support to the
Vice President and her staff, for ongoing programs, issues; participate in
other special projects as assigned.
5) Federal Affairs Committee: Prepare agenda, gather handouts, upload
documents on the extranet and maintain the extranet, format meeting notes
in PageMaker, PDF and email to Systems for the Intranet
