(RSV) Respiratory Syncytial Virus—The most important cause of viral lower
respiratory tract disease in infants and children worldwide. RSV is spread
easily by physical contact. Touching, kissing, and shaking hands with an
infected person can spread RSV.
(HPIVs) Human parainfluenza viruses are a group of four distinct serotypes
of singled strand, RNA viruses. The are the second most common cause of
lower respiratory tract infection in smaller children.
Staph-- Staphylococci are spherical, gram positive bacteria of the
micrococcaceae family. They are found primarily on the skin and in the
mucous membranes of humans and other warm-blooded animals, and aggregate
into small, grape-like clumps.
