How do you prefer to be recognized on Administrative Professionals Day in April? (Or do you prefer to be recognized?)

 

►"I would like to be sent to an admin conference for the day. What a great way to make an admin assistant feel special----with a conference that includes a luncheon, free take-aways from the conference and great speakers to help us be more successful at our jobs. I usually get things like cards, gift certificates, or flowers; and 1) cards are very cheesy and usually end up in the trash; 2) gift certificates sometimes get lost in the drawer or never used; 3) flowers are beautiful. . . while they last. Lasting value will come from knowledge and newly learned skills and tools that will make me more effective in my job. "

►"I had a boss that would give me a gift certificate for my favorite jewelry store for all occasions. This has been my favorite gift."
 

►"While a bonus would be very nice, an excellent salary is much better because you can count on it. Bonuses are too fleeting.
