1.) CAM Charges (Common Area Maintenance) – this is a charge that all
tenants take responsibility in paying for general common areas, hallways,
lobby, restrooms (not within your space)
2.) Certificate of Liability Insurance- proof of coverage that an owner of
a building requires prior to the vendor being on the premises.
3.) HVAC- heating, ventilation, air conditioning, - tenants call in with
being hot, cold- and we give the calls to the maintenance technicians to
adjust.
A typical day on the job: Busy, busy,
busy- we run [20+] buildings out of my office.

professional in this industry: Being the one to help solve a
problem for a tenant, or manager.
Negative things about being an administrative
professional in this industry: The stress- everyone has some
sort of deadline; and we are really short staffed. (hence the reason for
working Saturdays)

Primary responsibilities as an administrative
professional in this position: Logging all calls from
tenants, updating certificates of insurance, coding invoices to be sent
out of state for processing, monthly reports for each property, ordering
supplies, creating contracts between the manager and vendor.

knowledge of commercial real estate, able to multi-task, organization is a
must, great people skills

Being patient with our network.
Critical soft skills: Good
communication- you have to be able to relate messages between the tenants
and the maintenance technicians, and be able to relay back to the tenant
(who on occasion may be very irate)
