A typical day on the job:  Most communication is done via Microsoft Outlook, including all task assignments. The Partners work on the location of the external clients they are serving. May not see many of the Partners that I support for weeks.

 

The day consists of communication, mail, phone, calendar, time entry, client transactions, file management, meeting arrangements, travel arrangements, general tasks – never in any particular order.

 

Positive things about being an administrative professional in this industry:  Flexibility to do the tasks on an as need be basis. It is like juggling plates, trying to keep everything a float all at the same time.

 

Negative things about being an administrative professional in this industry:  Stressful, some tasks need to be done quickly.

 

Type of workspace/office:  Cubical [face windows]

 

Primary responsibilities as an administrative professional in this position:  Phones, mail, travel, meetings, general planning.
